By accessing our website, creating a personalized star map, placing an order or downloading a digital product, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or purchase our products.
2. Our Service
Sky Map Gifts provides tools that allow customers to create personalized representations of the night sky based on information supplied by the customer.
Our service may allow you to select or provide information such as:
- Date
- Time
- Location
- Names
- Personalized messages
- Design preferences
We use this information to generate your personalized star map.
3. Digital Products
Sky Map Gifts provides personalized star maps as high-resolution digital files, such as PDF files, that you can download and print yourself.
A single order may contain one or more personalized star maps. Each star map is treated as an individual personalized digital product and may have its own date, time, location, title, names, message and design selections.
Each purchased star map includes multiple print-size formats, allowing you to choose the size that best fits your frame or printing needs. See Printing & Available Sizes for the available print formats and sizes.
Sky Map Gifts does not provide physical printing, framing, packaging or shipping unless a specific product page explicitly states otherwise.
4. Orders & Purchases
A single order may contain one or more personalized star maps. Each star map within an order is treated as an individual personalized digital product and may contain different personalization details.
For example, an order may include multiple star maps for different dates, locations, people or occasions.
When you place an order, you agree to provide accurate and complete information necessary to process the transaction.
An order may include information such as your name, email address, billing details and personalization information.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in circumstances including suspected fraud, unauthorized activity, technical errors or violation of these Terms.
5. Personalized Content
You are responsible for reviewing the information you provide before completing your purchase.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Dates
- Times
- Locations
- Names
- Spelling
- Personalized messages
Because personalized products are created specifically for each customer, changes requested after production or download may not always be possible.
Each personalized star map is generated according to the information provided for that specific star map. If an order contains multiple star maps, the personalization information for one star map does not automatically apply to the other star maps in the order.
6. Digital Delivery & Downloads
After a successful purchase, your personalized digital files may be made available through the website, an order confirmation page, your customer account, email or another digital delivery method.
If your order contains multiple star maps, the available files may be provided together or organized separately by star map.
Each personalized star map includes multiple print-size files. These files are provided so you can choose the format that best matches your intended printing size.
You are responsible for providing a valid email address and maintaining access to the email account associated with your order.
You are also responsible for ensuring that your device has sufficient storage and that your software can open the supplied file format.
7. Printing & Available Sizes
Sky Map Gifts provides digital files for personal printing. We do not currently provide physical printing, framing or shipping unless explicitly stated on the applicable product page.
Each personalized star map includes multiple print-size formats, including:
- 8.5 × 11 inches
- 11 × 14 inches
- 16 × 20 inches
- 18 × 24 inches
- 24 × 32 inches
- 21 × 29.7 cm (A4)
- 24 × 30 cm
- 30 × 40 cm
- 40 × 50 cm
- 50 × 70 cm
- Selected square sizes
Print results may vary depending on the printer, paper, printing service, paper size, paper quality, color calibration and other printing conditions.
Sky Map Gifts is not responsible for differences caused by a third-party printer or printing service.
8. Refunds & Cancellations
Before completing your purchase, please carefully review all personalization details, including your date, time, location, names, spelling, text and design selections.
Once your personalized star map has been generated or made available for download, we generally cannot offer refunds, cancellations or exchanges simply because you changed your mind or entered incorrect personalization information.
Technical Problems
If a technical problem affects one or more files in your order, please contact us with your order number and identify the affected star map or file. We will make reasonable efforts to correct the problem or provide replacement files where appropriate.
Incorrect Personalization
If you discover an error in information that you entered during the personalization process, contact us as soon as possible.
If the error was caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer, a correction or regenerated file may not be eligible for a refund and may, where applicable, require an additional fee.
If we made an error in generating the personalized product that does not match the information correctly supplied by the customer, please contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to correct the file or provide a replacement at no additional charge.
Cancellations Before Generation
If you contact us before your personalized star map has been generated, you may request cancellation. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request, but cancellation cannot be guaranteed once production has started.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any consumer rights, refund rights, cancellation rights or other legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
If you believe that your purchase qualifies for a remedy required by applicable law, please contact us and provide the details of your request.
9. Pricing & Taxes
Prices displayed on the website may change from time to time.
The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time you complete your purchase, subject to applicable taxes and any clearly disclosed fees.
Depending on your location, applicable sales taxes, GST, HST, PST, VAT or other taxes may be added to your purchase.
10. Intellectual Property
The Sky Map Gifts website, software, branding, logos, graphics, templates, text, designs, code and other materials are owned by or licensed to Sky Map Gifts and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit our website, software, templates or proprietary materials.
11. Customer License
The license applies to the personalized artwork purchased by the customer and does not transfer ownership of Sky Map Gifts's underlying software, templates, astronomical data, design systems or other proprietary materials.
After purchasing a personalized star map, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased digital artwork for personal purposes.
This generally includes:
- Printing the artwork for personal use
- Printing the artwork as a personal gift
- Displaying the artwork in your home
- Keeping a personal digital copy
Unless explicitly authorized, you may not resell, redistribute, sublicense or upload the purchased digital artwork to websites or marketplaces for the purpose of selling or distributing the file.
12. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use the website to:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations
- Commit fraud or facilitate fraudulent activity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Interfere with website functionality
- Reverse engineer our software except where permitted by applicable law
- Scrape or systematically copy website content without permission
- Resell or redistribute digital products without authorization
13. Accuracy of Star Maps
Our star maps are generated using astronomical, geographic and software data available to our systems for the selected date, time and location.
We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate representations of the night sky based on the information available to us. However, differences may occur due to astronomical data sources, geographic coordinates, time-zone information, historical data, software calculations or other technical factors.
Star maps are provided as personalized decorative and commemorative artwork and are not intended to be used for scientific, navigational, surveying or professional astronomical purposes.
14. Website Availability
We aim to keep the website and services available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, technical problems, hosting issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sky Map Gifts and its owners, employees, contractors and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or purchase of digital products.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising from a particular purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for that purchase.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sky Map Gifts and its owners, employees, contractors and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities and expenses arising from your misuse of the website, violation of these Terms or infringement of another person's rights.

We may suspend or terminate access to the website or certain services if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity or created a security or legal risk.
